The Department of Urology at Bordeaux University Hospital co-organised the 21st Congress of Robotic Urology Surgery <\/a>(ERUS 2024), held under the auspices of the European Association of Urology.<\/p>

The event took place in Bordeaux from 11 to 13 September 2024 and gathered over 1,000 participants from around the world.
A major highlight of the congress was the world\u2019s first live robotic radical nephrectomy with virtual and augmented reality-assisted level II IVC thrombectomy. <\/a>This ground-breaking surgery, performed by Prof. Jean-Christophe Bernhard, represents the culmination of extensive research and development carried out as part of the RHU Digital Urology 3D programme. <\/p>
