14th SoFraSimS Congress, at the Collège Santé de Bordeaux (University of Bordeaux), in collaboration with Bordeaux University Hospital – 1–3 April 2026

📢 From 1 to 3 April, the 14th SoFraSimS conference, entitled ‘The learner at the heart of simulations’, was held at the Collège Santé de Bordeaux (University of Bordeaux), in collaboration with Bordeaux University Hospital.

I.CaRe Bordeaux played a key role in the organisation and scientific content, with contributions from Prof. Jean-Christophe Bernhard and Dr Gaëlle Margue.
🔹 Dr Gaëlle Margue spoke at the plenary session:
‘Pre- and intraoperative planning using 3D-printed digital twins: the example of complex kidney tumours’
🔹 Professor Jean-Christophe Bernhard took part in the round table:
“Technical simulation and technical expertise: from anatomical models to immersive digital technology — hits and misses, an industrialist’s dream or a teacher’s reality?”

This involvement highlights I.CaRe Bordeaux’s significant contribution to:
➡️ healthcare simulation
➡️ training in robotic surgery
➡️ educational and technological innovation

👉 Working closely with the Robotic Training Centre Bordeaux (RTCB) and the RHU Digital Urology 3D (DU3D), I.CaRe Bordeaux is developing a unique integrated approach combining:
• digital twins
• 3D printing
• virtual and augmented reality
• mental simulation and procedural simulation

A unique translational R&D initiative within the University of Bordeaux, positioning I.CaRe Bordeaux as a key player in transforming surgical practices and training.

🤝 A highly engaged regional and national ecosystem
This initiative is part of close collaborations with academic, hospital, industrial and institutional partners, notably within the framework of the RHU DU3D and regional initiatives (Aqui3D Robethic).

🙏 Thank you to all the teams involved for the quality of this event and the fruitful discussions.
